US Steel East Chicago Tin Works has recently acquired SR-Instruments Oy’s Detmaster 1200 MPH Pinhole Detection System for its No. 2 Tin Mill Line Shop to replace an obsolete pinhole gauge. The Detmaster MPH system is able to simultaneously detect edge cracks and pinholes from size 10 um up to large holes as well as to measure the width of the strip. With these features Detmaster MPH system guarantees the efficiency and the quality assurance at the US Steel East Chicago Tin Works’ No. 2 Tin Mill Line Shop.
