Detmaster PRT - Web Inspection SystemDetmaster PRT Web Inspection System is dedicated for detailed simultaneous on-line web inspection and quality control of coated multi-ply board products. The system detects coated multi-ply board surface and ply defects as well as measures surface quality parameters such as gloss, brightness, gloss-mottling, white top mottling and formation. The detector beams of the Detmaster PRT system dedicated for surface defect detection are always installed against the roll surface in order to realise stable measurement conditions where web bounce and undulation are completely eliminated. As a result of this necessary arrangement the Detmaster PRT system is able to detect extremely low contrast surface defects such as blade streaks, nozzle streaks, butterflies, coating skips, etc. 
The detector beams of the Detmaster PRT system dedicated for ply defect detection are always installed on an open draw where detector beam receives transmission light through the web from an integrated illumination beam. This arrangement enables e.g. detection of defects such as core ply hole and edge crack as well measurement of quality parameter formation. Furthermore, the Detmaster technology enables on an open draw with a single detector beam solution integrated with a transmission illumination source on the other side of the web the detection of tiny holes (> 0.1 mm2), edge cracks and even core ply holes as well as formation measurement through all plies of the web. All this is realised with powerful infra-red transmission illumination sources utilising 2 illumination angles and 2 frequencies.

SR-Instruments Infoboard 18.8.2010SR-Instruments Oy is delivering two Detmaster MPH Pinhole Detection Systems to ArcelorMittal Weirton Works in USA. The systems will be installed in October on Tin Plating Lines No. 4 and No. 6, which line speeds are 550 m/min. Detmaster MPH systems are able to detect pinholes from size 10 um up to large holes, and therefore, they will guarantee the efficiency and the quality assurance at the concerned Tin Plating Lines at ArcelorMittal Weirton Works. 22.4.2010 SR-Instruments Oy is delivering the Detmaster MPH Pinhole Detection System for rental use to the Ternium Mexico's Monterrey mill site in Mexico. The system will be installed on Tension Leveling Line, which maximum line speed is 425 m/min. The Detmaster system is able to detect pinholes from size 10 um up to large holes, and therefore, it will guarantee the efficiency and the quality assurance at the Ternium Mexico's Tension Leveling Line. 7.10.2009 SR-Instruments Oy is delivering the Detmaster MPH Pinhole Detection System to the Impress Deventer Plant in The Netherlands. The system will be installed on Cut-to-length Line No. 102, which maximum line speed is 450 m/min and maximum number of strokes 235 strokes/min. The Detmaster MPH system is able to detect pinholes from 10 um up to large holes and provides a signal to reject the sheets including pinholes. Thus, Detmaster MPH system will guarantee the efficiency and quality assurance at the Impress Deventer Plant's Cut-to-length Line No. 102. Archive...
